The Bayern squad’s last full day in Chicago was as busy and varied as ever. The men from Munich initially spent Thursday working up a sweat in the fitness area at the team hotel or, for the players who only briefly featured in the friendly against AC Milan, at Soldier Field stadium. The late afternoon schedule involved a series of Meet & Greets. Franck Ribéry, Xabi Alonso und Javi Martínez met two NBA stars, while Philipp Lahm had the honour of opening the baseball derby between the Chicago Cubs and the White Sox by tossing the first pitch.

The FCB captain revealed to fcbayern.de that he had been a touch nervous: “I know I can play football, but I wasn’t sure I’d manage the first pitch. I just tried to get it straight – and it basically went well.”

While Lahm was acquainting himself with a new sporting discipline at Wrigley's Field, David Alaba, Juan Bernat and Julian Green were fulfilling fan dreams at an adidas store. A couple of blocks away, Arturo Vidal and Thiago signed countless autographs at a T-Mobile store. And at the same time, Holger Badstuber and Sven Ulreich were guests of club sponsor Paulaner. fcbayern.de presents a selection of the best impressions from the day.
