Carlo Ancelotti’s new “home” is the Bayern Munich head coach’s office on the first floor of the Performance Centre at the Säbener Strasse facility. “Ich bin glücklich, hier zu sein” – “I’m delighted to be here,” the new boss said in German, before continuing his first-day chat with FCB.tv in English: “I think it’ll be a fantastic experience for me and I hope also for Bayern. Bayern is a fantastic club and I’m really excited to start.”
Ancelotti will be officially unveiled at the Allianz Arena at 11.00 CET on Monday before supervising his first training session at the club from 16:30 CET (both live in English on YouTube & Facebook). “Everyone hopes it will be a fantastic season. Of course we want to play good offensive football that our supporters will enjoy,” the Italian said.
The former Real and Chelsea supremo plans to build on the foundations left behind by Pep Guardiola. “We have a good relationship and he did a fantastic job with Bayern in the last years,” commented the new head coach, who even found a welcome message from the former boss written on the wall of his office. “In bocca al lupo!” the personal greeting reads: “Good luck!”
