New coaching team

Clement and Gerland named Ancelotti’s assistants

The FC Bayern stars report back for pre-season training in just under three weeks, when Carlo Ancelotti will supervise his first squad workout at the Säbener Strasse facility. Contrary to certain local media reports in recent days, Ancelotti’s coaching staff will comprise the following experts:

Paul Clement (44), an Englishman who was previously Ancelotti’s assistant coach at Chelsea, Paris St. Germain and Real Madrid, will also fill the role at FC Bayern as the Italian boss’s right-hand man.

The new head coach will also be supported by his son Davide as an assistant coach.

Hermann Gerland remains a member of the coaching staff as an assistant coach. The Tiger retains the role he played at the club under Louis van Gaal, Jupp Heynckes and Pep Guardiola.

Ancelotti’s health and fitness team comprises Giovanni Mauri and his son Francesco Mauri.

As of the new season, Mino Fulco becomes the club’s nutritionist.
