EURO triumph certain for at least one FCB star

It is now certain that at least one FC Bayern pro will win the EURO 2016! Portugal with new FCB signing Renato Sanches have advanced to the final after beating Wales 2-0 on Wednesday evening. The 55,679 crowd in Lyon saw Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani score for Portugal, who will take on Germany or France in the final in Saint-Denis on Sunday. The world champions feature Manuel Neuer, Thomas Müller, Jérôme Boateng, Mats Hummels, Mario Götze and Joshua Kimmich, whereas Munich man Kingsley Coman is in the France squad. Both finalists will thus feature at least one Bavarian.

Another EURO record for Sanches

Renato Sanches has broken another record. After the 2-0 victory over Wales he is the youngest-ever player to contest a EURO semi-final. The 18-year-old is also the youngest Portuguese to make the starting line-up and to score a goal in a European championship as well as the youngest player to score a goal in a knockout tie.

Eight Bavarians in the last four

FC Bayern boast eight stars in the EURO semi-finals, more than any other club! Crystal Palace lie second with three Welshmen and two Frenchmen, Real Madrid provide four players: former Bayern pro Toni Kroos, Pepe, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.
