On Tuesday morning around 1,500 fans visited the Säbener Strasse to watch the last public training session before the Supercup final despite bad weather. For the first time after sustaining a muscle injury Douglas Costa completed a running session. After 20 minutes out on the pitch the Brazilian continued with rehab coach Thomas Wilhelmi in the performance centre.

There was more good news as Franck Ribéry resumed parts of the squad programme on Tuesday after recovering from groin problems. Long-term absentees Arjen Robben and Jérôme Boateng missed the session. Xabi Alonso turned in an individual session in the performance centre and is set to return to the squad programme on Thursday.

Holger Badstuber needs more patience than the Spaniard. After his long injury lay-off Badstuber will be reintroduced to the fray step by step. The 27-year-old is currently working individually.
