The training ground at Säbener Strasse is getting busier by the day. Manuel Neuer, Mats Hummels, Joshua Kimmich, Thomas Müller (Germany) and Robert Lewandowski (Poland) returned to full training with FC Bayern just two days after their international appearances. The quintet joined their team-mates in preparing for Friday’s top Bundesliga clash at Schalke 04 (20:30 CET).

“It was a successful trip for me,” said Kimmich, happy with his two 90-minute outings for Germany. The icing on the cake was a first international goal for the youngster. “Of course, it was great. But now it’s back to business here,” declared Kimmich, looking forward to the forthcoming challenges at FC Bayern. ”There are lots of games coming up so now the season really gets going.” Bayern have seven matches in the next three weeks.

FCB coach Carlo Ancelotti could soon be welcoming more of his players back to the training ground. Arjen Robben and Kingsley Coman are on the way back and have been practising sprints and drills with the ball this week. The latter also applies to Jérôme Boateng who is also making progress on the pitch. And finally, Holger Badstuber is continuing his rehab programme on the training ground too.
