The Allianz Arena attracted 1,220,745 visitors in the first half of 2016, which means it is Germany's most-visited football stadium, according to a study conducted by football magazine Stadionwelt Inside. Besides sports events, concerts, B2B and other events were taken into consideration.
More than 1.2 million visitors in the first half year
The Allianz Arena tops the rankings ahead of Gelsenkirchen's VELTINS Arena on 1.1 million visitors, Dortmund's SIGNAL IDUNA PARK on almost a million and the Olympic Stadium in Berlin (850,000).
The Arena in Fröttmaning is the only stadium in Germany to top the one-million milestone considering football matches only: 1,160,153 visitors flocked to home matches of FC Bayern, TSV 1860 München and the Germany national team.
Number one for corporate events
Even on non-matchdays the Allianz Arena is a magnet. 60,592 went to Fröttmaning for corporate events, making the Allianz Arena Germany's most popular stadium in the first half of 2016.
