A logistical masterpiece: 20 trucks delivered the new grass for the Allianz Arena at hourly intervals. The turf was set up and rolled out immediately. The work took two days, 8,000 m² of surface area were rolled out on Wednesday and Thursday. The old turf, which had been infected by fungi, was torn up and the undersoil set up on Monday and Tuesday. On Friday the new pitch was measured and marked out to be ready for Saturday's game.
