FC Bayern München AG has extended the contract of Rudolf Vidal, 45, Managing Director of its American subsidiary FC Bayern Muenchen LLC, by another three years to 28 February 2020. Rudolf Vidal has been leading FC Bayern’s New York office with great success since its opening in summer 2014.
During this time the number of US fan clubs has increased from eight to over 100 in 37 different states. In addition six media partnerships have been secured, sponsorship deals won, the team has completed two successful Audi Summer Tours and various football camps have taken place across the USA. Moreover FC Bayern München has launched a dedicated website, mobile app, online shop and social media channels for the many supporters of the German record champions in America.
FC Bayern Muenchen LLC wants to build on these foundations and is now looking to countries in Central and South America (‘the Americas’).
“In Rudolf Vidal we have a skilled specialist leading our team in New York that have carried out outstanding work over the last two years,” said FC Bayern München AG chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
FC Bayern München AG director of internationalisation and strategy Jörg Wacker said: “We are pleased that this successful cooperation will continue and can be developed even further. In Central and South America we have two more exciting opportunities. We want to bring our fans in this region closer to FC Bayern while also winning over new supporters.”
