Ancelotti’s pleasant selection dilemma

Carlo Ancelotti is spoilt for choice. Apart from Franck Ribéry (muscle problems), all players took part in training on Tuesday ahead of the Champions League tie against PSV Eindhoven. Douglas Costa and Javi Martínez were already back in training on Monday and Robert Lewandowski declared himself “100% fit”, and now Arturo Vidal and Juan Bernat are both back with the team after short absences

“They have all trained well today and will all come to the hotel this evening,” announced Ancelotti. “I will decide tomorrow who plays and who will be on the bench.” The FCB head coach also added with reference to those recently back from injuries, “we will not take risks.”

Arjen Robben is in with a good chance of facing his former club. “He’s in a good state physically. He can play 90 minutes,” said Ancelotti. “I’m sure he will be able to help the team out tomorrow.”
