'Satisfied with our performance, not with the result'

FC Bayern gave it everything on Saturday, hit the bar and had a goal ruled out for offside, but an equaliser refused to come for the Munich men in the defeat to Borussia Dortmund. "I'm satisfied with our performance against strong opponents, but not with the result," said Carlo Ancelotti after the final whistle. "We failed to deliver the final pass," analysed Philipp Lahm.

Reaction to Borussia v Bayern:

Carlo Ancelotti: "We're not happy about losing this tough match. Dortmund started well, then we found our way into the game. After 20 minutes we were better - against opponents who were still strong. I'm satisfied with the performance against strong opponents, but not with the result."

Philipp Lahm: "We failed to deliver the final pass especially in the first half, it was never accurate enough. Otherwise we'd have had numerous opportunities. Dortmund only had few chances. We have to accept the 1-0 defeat."

Thomas Tuchel (Dortmund coach): "It was very difficult, we suffered for long spells. But when you're up against Bayern you can't expect to get off lightly. You have to stand up to it, that was our goal. It was a top performance."
