Benefit match: FC Bayern help Kickers Offenbach

FC Bayern and Kickers Offenbach have agreed a special match for next summer. On Wednesday 30 August 2017 the German record champions will travel to face the team from Hesse in a benefit match. The former Bundesliga club was able to close a funding gap and avert insolvency by means of this commitment.

"Kickers Offenbach are a club with a rich tradition, they've always been an important club in Germany, so we'll gladly help them with a benefit match," declared FC Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. "All revenues of the match will benefit Kickers Offenbach. We hope we can help secure the future of this longstanding club by this. We're looking forward to a reunion at Bieberer Berg in August."

The benefit match at Bieberer Berg will be staged after the first two matchdays of the 2017/18 Bundesliga campaign. The exact kick-off time for the encounter with the Regionalliga outfit will be announced at a later point in time.
