Training, physiotherapy, meetings, media and sponsor engagements - in nine intensive days in Doha, Bayern are hoping to lay the foundations for a successful second half to the season. fcbayern.com brings you all the ins and outs of each day in the desert emirate:
Day 7 - Monday 9th January
GOLFERS OF THE DAY: Philipp Lahm and Thomas Müller took to the golf course, others used the free morning to visit the nearby mall. Many Bayern pros just slept in and relaxed. "I didn't do a lot. My body needs some rest," revealed Franck Ribéry.
LATE RISER OF THE DAY: Mats Hummels in particular enjoyed Monday morning. "I slept for a long, long time. I had a few problems with it in the last few days," commented Hummels: "I really enjoyed the sleep." The Germany international was wide awake in the evening session.
COLD OF THE DAY: "You can perhaps hear it: I've caught a little cold," David Alaba revealed at the beginning of the daily press talk, his voice husky. The Austrian refuses to complain: "I'm feeling very good!"
GAME OF THE DAY: The FCB pros had the morning off, but the staff deputised for them out on the training ground. The physio team featuring Bernd Schosser and Stephan Weickert won 6-4 in a tight match against the side with team manager Kathleen Krüger and internist Prof Dr Roland Schmidt.
