FC Bayern have been handed a home tie against Bundesliga rivals Schalke in the last eight of this season's DFB Cup. The draw for the next round of the knockout competition was made by singer Mark Forster and Germany U21 coach Stefan Kuntz late on Wednesday following the completion of the round of 16. Eighteen-time champions FCB downed VfL Wolfsburg 1-0 the previous evening to secure their place in the last eight for the tenth year in a row.
The quarter final ties will be played on 28 February and 1 March 2017.
