Douglas Costa is facing a spell on the sidelines after breaking off Friday’s FC Bayern training session with an injury to his left knee. The winger definitely misses Sunday’s trip to face Borussia Mönchengladbach, and has also withdrawn from the Brazil squad for the 2018 World Cup qualifying fixtures against Uruguay and Paraguay. The 26-year-old will remain at the Säbener Strasse for treatment by the Bayern medical unit.
Arturo Vidal is also ruled out of the Gladbach clash with a one-match ban after collecting a fifth yellow card of the season in last week’s victory over Eintracht Frankfurt. Apart from the South American pair, Carlo Ancelotti picks from a full squad for the meeting with the Foals at 17.30 CET on Sunday.
