Full steam ahead in training

Robert Lewandowski relaxed by Lake Tegernsee, Arturo Vidal enjoyed the sun in Monaco, David Alaba and Franck Ribéry went to see the rap superstar Drake in concert in Paris. Bayern were able to take two and a half days off before the players returned to training on Tuesday in an intense session for the record champions. Head coach Carlo Ancelotti started the first work-out of the week at 15.00 CET on the dot – accompanied by numerous fans keen to watch this week's open training session. It was also covered live by FC Bayern TV.

Following a relaxed warm-up session it was onto a slalom course, passing drills and practice match for the Bayern first team players. Good news for Ancelotti: The Italian has a full squad at his disposal with the most recent absentee Juan Bernat returning to the training ground today. As it stands, the Bayern coach will only be missing Arturo Vidal for Sunday's Bundesliga match (17.30 CET) away to Borussia Mönchengladbach. The Chilean picked up a fifth yellow card in the 3-0 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt and will serve a one-match ban this coming weekend.
