Plenty of guests at training in Munich
On Thursday, hundreds of fans flocked down to Säbener Straße to watch FC Bayern’s open training session. Those in attendance took advantage of a public holiday in Bavaria to see ‘their’ players in the flesh. Sunshine, pleasant temperatures and progress to the semi-finals of the DFB Cup the previous night all contributed to a good mood for all both on and off the pitch. Players like Philipp Lahm, Thomas Müller and Joshua Kimmich were putting themselves through their paces, whilst some other decided to show off some of their party tricks.
Thai coaches visiting Munich
As well as the fans, there were some other special guests present at Säbener Straße. As an integral part of the cooperation, coaches from Thailand are in Munich this week to observe and learn from the FC Bayern staff. FCB youth coaches were already in Thailand for training and workshops in November 2016. Another assignment is also planned for April. The ‘best’ coaches from each course in Thailand were invited back to Munich. Besides theory, there is also a focus on practice during the visit to FC Bayern, which is why the coaches from Thailand have been watching the FCB youth teams’ training sessions very intensely. There has also been another special highlight of the trip: a visit to the Allianz Arena to watch the DFB Cup game against Schalke.
