Audi Summer Tour 2017 to China and Singapore

After a very successful trip in 2015 FC Bayern return to Asia from 16 to 28 July for the Audi Summer Tour 2017. "Visiting friends" is the motto when Carlo Ancelotti's men travel to China and subsequently Singapore to contest four friendlies against top European clubs:

* On Wednesday 19 July FC Bayern cross swords with 13-time English champions Arsenal in Shanghai at the Audi Football Summit.

* Three days later, on 22 July, the Reds encounter seven-time Champions League/European Cup winners AC Milan in Shenzhen, again at the Audi Football Summit.

* FC Bayern and current Premier League leaders Chelsea face off in the International Champions Cup in Singapore on 25 July.

* The German record champions conclude the trip against 18-time Italian champions Inter Milan, also in the International Champions Cup on 27 July.

FC Bayern previously travelled to China in 2012 and 2015. This year's Audi Summer Tour will take place in China for the second time. "The Audi Summer Tour is an integral part of our international strategy, supporting our global brand development. There are about 135 million FC Bayern fans in China, and the club is becoming more and more popular in Southeast Asia. So I'm glad we'll play in Shanghai and Shenzhen under the motto 'Visiting Friends' and present our team in July. We're equally looking forward to the top-class matches in front of many Bayern fans from the whole of Southeast Asia in Singapore," commented Jörg Wacker, FC Bayern München AG head of internationalisation and strategy.

The two matches in China were announced at a press conference featuring FC Bayern brand ambassador Hasan Salihamidžić in Shanghai on Tuesday. Legend Trophy Tour fan festivals are being staged today and tomorrow, and the 2001 Champions League winners are on site representing the German record champions. Another press conference with Salihamidžić will be staged in Singapore on 16 March to announce the two International Champions Cup matches.
