'Brazzo' visits Far East ahead of pre-season tour
FC Bayern will be taking part in this year’s Audi Summer Tour in China and Singapore from 16th-28th July, and club ambassador Hasan Salihamidzic has been in the Far East over the last few days getting a taste of what the record champions can expect. Stunning locations, friendly hosts and above all enthusiastic supporters were the 40 year-old’s lasting impressions following the official launch of the Audi Summer Tour 2017.
“It’s unbelievable what’s going on here,” said ‘Brazzo’, who took part in a press conference in Singapore on Wednesday announcing the fixtures for the International Champions Cup (ICC). FCB will meet Chelsea on 25th July and then Inter Milan on 27th July. Wherever Salihamidzic went, the 2001 Champions League winner was quickly surrounded by crowds of Bayern fans for whom he signed autographs and posed for photos. FCB mascot Berni was also often at the centre of things.
The press conference followed brief visits to Shanghai and Shenzhen, the first two stops on the Audi Summer Tour 2017, and marked the end of an eventful week in the Far East. As well as official duties at the press conferences there were lots of nice moments including a Tai Chi session, the popular FC Bayern Legend Trophy Tour fan festivals and various interviews.
“The enthusiasm for FC Bayern here really is huge,” said Salihamidzic, equally impressed by the supporters of the record champions as by the imposing backdrop of the big cities. ‘Brazzo’, along with everyone at FCB, is already looking forward to going back to the Far East in July.
