Kimmich fired up for Leipzig

The Bundesliga title belongs once again to Bayern, but there is still a special game on the cards this Saturday when FCB face their closest rivals from this season: RB Leipzig. Joshua Kimmich in particular is looking forward to this top-of-the-table clash after moving to Bavaria in 2015 following two years with RB.

“I still have a lot of friends there and have followed them closely,” the youngster said on FC Bayern TV LIVE. “They’ve had a super season. They are a really young and hungry team, score a lot of early goals and are rightfully up there near the top of the table. Luckily behind us!” the Germany international grinned.

The 22-year-old was therefore justly motivated as the first player out of the changing room on Tuesday ahead of some individual training on a nearby pitch with Kingsley Coman. The two youngsters completed sprinting drills across the turf and were dribbling at pace between poles. Their teammates were meanwhile training under the auspices of numerous fans, whilst Robert Lewandowski remained in the performance centre to undertake his own workout programme.
