Medhi Benatia, who has been on loan at Juventus from FC Bayern since the start of the season, is to move to Turin permanently. The Italian champions have taken up a clause in the loan contract to buy the 30 year-old Moroccan international. The total transfer fee is €20 million, comprising the €3 million fee for the loan this season and a fixed sum of €17 million agreed by the two clubs.
FC Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said: “I’d like to thank Medhi Benatia for two successful years at FC Bayern and wish him well for his future at Juventus – particularly for the upcoming Champions League final against Real Madrid.”
