The FC Bayern players were given three days off after securing the German league title at Wolfsburg last Saturday. It was back to work on Wednesday afternoon as Carlo Ancelotti’s men began preparing for the next Bundesliga game against Darmstadt at the Allianz Arena on Saturday. Absent from the session was Mats Hummels whose body “is a bit battered” after recent weeks, as the centre-back told FC Bayern.tv News. The 28 year-old will be treated in the coming days, but it remains to be seen when he can return to full training.

The Spaniard became a father for the first time on Wednesday and celebrated the new addition to his family. His partner Júlia Vigas gave birth to Gabriel at 7:30 in Munich, and mother and baby are doing well. Everyone at FC Bayern sends their warmest congratulations!
