Vidal's Chile beaten in Confed Cup warm-up
Chile threw away a two-goal lead in their final warm-up match ahead of the Confederations Cup against Romania. Arturo Vidal came on in the 54th minute for the South American champions after Eduardo Vargas and Leonardo Felipe Valencia Rossel had put the Bayern midfielder’s country ahead before Bogdan Stancu got one back before half-time. Chile’s Gary Medel was then sent off for a rough challenge, which was a turning point in the game. Romania flipped the game on its head in front of their home fans in the second half thanks to goals from Claudiu Stanciu and Mihail Balatu. Vidal & co. now head from Cluj to Russia for the Confederations Cup, where they will face Cameroon (18 June), Germany (22 June) and Australia (25 June) in their group.
