Neuer, Robben and Boateng work on their comeback

Manuel Neuer, Arjen Robben and Jérôme Boateng reported to the Säbener Strasse to continue their recovery programme on Saturday. Neuer and Robben worked out in the performance centre, whereas Boateng worked up a sweat on the training ground.  While their team-mates are on the Audi Summer Tour, the trio have remained in Munich to continue their rehab in ideal conditions, working up a sweat twice a day.

"We're working hard," revealed Boateng, who is recovering from a thigh injury sustained at the end of last season. The centre-back has raised his workload over the last few days, completing more and more intense running drills and strength and stability exercises. "I'm feeling better every day."

Robben focused on the ball

Neuer too sees "daily progress." The World's Best Goalkeeper works in the sand and in the water, continuing his recovery from a broken foot. "I'm satisfied. Of course I try to join the squad as soon as possible, but you mustn't try to take three steps at once."

Robben will work with the ball again next week after returning from his holiday with a calf injury. He focused on his stamina in the last few days. "It's good that I can work in Munich. My goal is to resume training when the squad is back," the Dutchman said.
