Arjen Robben will not be part of the FC Bayern squad that departs on Sunday for the Audi Summer Tour to China and Singapore, as the 33-year-old sustained an injury to his right calf while playing tennis on vacation. He will remain in Munich for a tailored sports rehab programme at the Säbener Strasse training facility with the aim of resuming regular squad training as soon as possible.

Bayern’s practice ground was a hive of activity on Wednesday. A number of players reported to base several hours prior to the first training session in the late morning, as they were required for a variety of photo shoots. The images will be used in the new FC Bayern yearbook, for this season’s autograph cards and the latest edition of the official merchandise catalogue.
