Thiago will return to Germany from the training camp in China on Thursday evening. The 26-year-old is currently unable to take part in full training or the forthcoming friendly fixtures due to a knock causing bruising to his left calf. "In discussion with the player and our medical team, we have decided to continue with an individual training programme for Thiago at Säbener Straße," said head coach Carlo Ancelotti.
Thiago is expected to rejoin the normal training sessions once the team has returned to Germany. As it stands, he is still expected to be available for the Audi Cup (1 and 2 August, Allianz Arena).
