
Belgian champions Anderlecht were victorious as they prepare to start their Champions League campaign at Bayern on Tuesday. Four days before the first group match in Munich the Belgian record champions won 3-2 at home against KSC Lokeren, and moved up to seventh in the table with eight points from six games. In their familiar Constant Vanden Stock Stadium the hosts had a perfect start with Henry Onyekuru scoring after a corner with two minutes played. Marko Miric equalised for the visitors only three minutes later and Lokeren took the lead ifollowing Ari Freyr Skulason’s 36th-minute strike.
After the break Anderlecht pushed hard for the equaliser, which they got through Onyekuru’s second goal of the game in the 77th minute. But after three games without a win the hosts wanted more and were rewarded by Lukasz Teodorczyk shortly before the end. The striker sent the home crowd into raptures with the winner in the 89th minute.
