The first team squad are slowly but surely coming back! On Tuesday morning Kingsley Coman and Corentin Tolisso returned to Bayern training from their duties with France. Over the next few days the rest of the 13 players on international duty will rejoin the squad, before attention switches to the Bundesliga match in Hoffenheim this Saturday.
Martinez visits main sponsor Telekom
Javi Martinez enjoyed a day out with a difference after the morning training session on Tuesday when the Bayern defensive specialist travelled to Berlin to the International Funkausstellung (IFA), where he paid a visit to the Telekom stand. Events organised by the German champions’ main sponsor included an interview, selfies and a brief autograph session. The 29-year-old also duelled a visitor in the tablet game “Magenta World”.
Kimmich on a roll
Joshua Kimmich was once again a key performer for world champions Germany in Monday’s 6-0 victory over Norway. The defender also improved his personal streak by playing the full 90 minutes for the 21st time in a row. Before now this had only been achieved by Franz Beckenbauer (also 21 consecutive games playing the full 90 minutes) and Berti Vogts (34 in a row). Even more impressively this was only Kimmich’s 22nd cap! Germany have only lost two of those matches.
