The Champions League is crossed off and now it’s time to focus on the Bundesliga again. FC Bayern started the build-up to Saturday’s home game (15.30 CET) against FSV Mainz 05 on Thursday morning. 16 outfield players and the goalkeepers joined Carlo Ancelotti on the training ground, including Arturo Vidal who has not been involved as much over the past few days. The drills included working on routines, moves and finishing. David Alaba was away from the group working on his return to full training.

Latza and Muto doubtful

Ahead of the match at FC Bayern, FSV Mainz 05 are unsure about the availability of striker Yoshinori Muto and midfielder Danny Latza. “We’ll have to wait and see,” said coach Sandro Schwarz on Thursday. Muto has a cold and was unable to train as was Latza who is troubled by a calf injury picked up in the game against Bayer Leverkusen at the weekend. Talking about his team’s chances in Munich, Schwarz said: “If we want to get a result then we’ll have to produce a top performance and Bayern a less good one.”
