A great change of scene for the Bayern squad. A special event was organised for the records champions’ players and coaches on Wednesday afternoon. The FC Bayern delegation travelled together to main partner Audi in Ingolstadt where Jupp Heynckes, Thomas Müller & Co. were presented with their new official vehicles. FCB chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, board member Andreas Jung and sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic were also there. “It’s a great day and the weather’s playing along,” said Rummenigge under clear blue skies, “thank you very much for the invitation. From today, it’s full steam ahead in both senses – Saturday in the Bundesliga and then the Champions League.” Rummenigge thanked Audi and their chairman of the board Rupert Stadler for the partnership over the past 15 years. The players rounded off the visit by signing autographs.
Thiago back in training
The FC Bayern players completed a thorough workout on the training ground at Säbener Straße before heading off to Ingolstadt on the team bus. Thiago was also on the pitch. The Spaniard took part in his first training session since being sidelined by the ankle ligament injury he suffered in the international against Albania.
