FC Bayern München have agreed a transfer with Helsingborg IF for 16 year-old Alex Timossi Andersson. The Swedish youth international will move to the record German champions on 1 July 2019, when he will join the first-team squad. Until then he will stay at his current club Helsinborg IF, for whom he’s already made 16 appearances and scored two goals in the Swedish second division this season.
“Alex Timossi Andersson is a very talented player. We’re confident he will find his feet at FC Bayern,” said Hasan Salihamidzic. “Before joining us he’ll continue to gain experience at Helsingborg IF and develop in his familiar surroundings,” added the FC Bayern sporting director.
Alex Timossi Andersson has been part of the first-team squad at Helsingborg IF since January 2017. The attacker has also made four appearances (two goals) for the Sweden U-15 team and seven appearances (two goals) for the U-16 side.
