Bayern coach Jupp Heynckes gave the starting XI against FC Augsburg the day off, so a number of Bavarians took a breather on Monday to be fit for the demanding weeks up to the winter break. Those Bayern pros who did not start on Saturday worked out on the Säbener Strasse training ground, for example David Alaba, Franck Ribéry and Thomas Müller, who were not in the squad after recovering from injuries. Robert Lewandowski & Co will depart for Anderlecht on Tuesday.
Taylor in charge
Anthony Taylor from England will take charge of Bayern's Champions League encounter with RSC Anderlecht. The 39-year-old oversaw FC Bayern's 5-0 home victory over FC Rostov in September 2016.
