Jupp Heynckes had three more players at his disposal when FC Bayern took up preparations for Saturday's home match against Hannover 96. Thomas Müller (ruptured muscle), Franck Ribéry (torn lateral collateral ligament in his knee) und Rafinha (ankle problem) completed the squad programme for the first time on Tuesday. David Alaba, who has a back problem, warmed up with the team before completing an individual running session. Robert Lewandowski turned in an individual session in the performance centre.
Small goals, long session
The FCB pros worked up a sweat after a day off, completing an intense session with several drills under Jupp Heynckes' auspices, using small goals before taking shots at big ones in a confined space. After working up a sweat in the performance centre the team worked out on the training ground for 90 minutes. Mats Hummels, Corentin Tolisso, Joshua Kimmich, Marco Friedl and Christian Früchtl then turned in a half-hour extra session, practising crosses and shots.
