Heynckes visits fan club

To mark the first Sunday of Advent, Jupp Heynckes has paid a visit to an FC Bayern fan club in the centre of Munich. On arriving at the Christmas celebrations of Rollwagerl ’93 e.V., the 2013 treble-winner was greeted by rapturous and prolonged applause. The mood was jolly, which definitely had something to do with the 3-1 win over Hannover the previous day. After a Q&A session, Heynckes signed autographs and chatted with the members, who took numerous photos for prosperity. In the coming weeks, Bayern players and staff will also visit the remaining fan clubs.

Bernat and Robben outside training

After a number of Bayern player celebrated their return to match action on Saturday following injury, there are now signs that further players could be making their way back to action in the near future. Juan Bernat has been able to train with the reserves after coming off against Gladbach with muscle problems and missing the Hannover game. Arjen Robben was also doing some work outside on the pitch at Säbener Straße, although it remains to be seen when the Dutchman will be fit enough to feature again. “Of course Arjen is itching to get back, but we definitely won’t be taking any risks,” Heynckes said at Friday’s pre-match press conference.
