The penultimate training session of 2017 was on the agenda for FC Bayern and there was good news. Arjen Robben was able to complete full training again after three and a half weeks on the sidelines with a muscle injury. Depending on reaction to today's session, Arjen may be available for Wednesday’s DFB Cup clash with Borussia Dortmund.
Jupp Heynckes started preparations for the last game of the year with a rigorous session and he was only unable to call on the injured Manuel Neuer and Thiago. Bayern want to be fully focused on the Round of 16 tie and take another step towards the ultimate target. "We definitely want to get Berlin," said Niklas Süle in setting out the way forwards, "the Cup is an important competition that we’re trying to win." And it's good that the Dortmund expert Robben – 11 goals in 21 games against BVB – has returned to full training.
