Sit-ups with weights, knee bends with bungee cords, hops over mini hurdles… The second training session in Doha was a painful one on Wednesday morning. Well, it was the training circuit that caused the pain.
The FC Bayern fitness coaches had set up eight stations where every player twice had to spend 30 second. Experts call them functional full-body strengthening exercises for stabilisation and prevention. The players simply call it hard, hard work. Everyone was blowing hard after completing the circuit. But it may not be the last time they face this circuit in the coming days though.
