Maiden goal for Wagner

The Bayern fans were treated to a wonderfully entertaining match on Saturday afternoon, and the 5-2 victory over Hoffenheim yielded a number of interesting stats. fcbayern.com has delved into the facts and figures.

The figures after the victory over Hoffenheim

1 – Sandro Wagner scored his first goal in his seventh Bundesliga appearance for FC Bayern, against none other than TSG Hoffenheim. After scoring four goals for his ex-club, he netted his fifth this term wearing Bayern colours.

2 – Arjen Robben set up two goals in one Bundesliga match for the first time since May 2017, a 4-1 victory over Freiburg. The Dutchman once registered three assists in one league match, an 8-1 victory away to St. Pauli in May 2011.

3 – Kingsley Coman scored his third goal this term on Saturday. The Frenchman netted one with his head, one with his left and one with his right.

4 – The scores were level at half-time in Bayern's fourth match in a row (1-1 against Hannover, 0-0 against Köln and 1-1 against Bremen). However, the Bavarians left the pitch as winners every time!

6 – Arturo Vidal scored his sixth goal this term when he made it four for Bayern. The Chilean is now Bayern's most prolific scorer behind Robert Lewandowski.

9 - The German record champions won their ninth competitive match on the bounce. The last time they boasted a similar run was between August and October 2015, when they won 12 consecutive matches.

10 – Lewandowski has scored in each of the ten Bundesliga home matches so far, extending the club record. His coach set the Bundesliga record more than 40 years ago: Jupp Heynckes scored in each of Borussia Mönchengladbach's first 11 home matches in the 1972/73 season.

11 – The Bavarians scored their 11th headed goal this term on Saturday, a best mark in the league.

11 - FC Bayern boast 11 goals in the first three matches of the second half of the Bundesliga campaign. They achieved a similar number only once, netting 12 times in the 1982/83 season.

18 – Lewandowski clocked up his first league assist this season. 18 goals scored and one set up mean he is the Bundesliga player involved in the most goals so far.

67 – FCB have scored in each of their last 67 competitive matches at the Allianz Arena. The men from Munich only enjoyed a longer home streak between 1979 and 1982, when they scored in 77 consecutive matches. The last time Bayern failed to score was in May 2015, a 1-0 defeat against Augsburg.

150 - Jupp Heynckes enjoyed his 150th league victory with FC Bayern on Saturday. Only Udo Lattek (184) and Ottmar Hitzfeld (158) boast more for FCB. No current Bundesliga coach has achieved more than 56 league victories with his respective club (Streich).

1540 – Jérôme Boateng scored his first league goal in 1540 days. The world champion's last goal dates back to 9 November 2013, a 3-0 victory over Augsburg.

1977 – The only time Bayern went two down so early in a Bundesliga home match dates back to January 1977. The match against Duisburg ended in a 2-2 draw.

2013 – The last time Bayern went two down so early in the Bundesliga was in May 2013. However, the Bavarians won the match away to Gladbach 4-3.
