Robert Lewandowski tops the Bundesliga scorer rankings, boasting 18 goals after 20 matchdays. On Wednesday his chances of winning the coveted top scorer trophy for the third time after 2014 and 2016 increased considerably. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, so far Lewandowski's chief rival on 13 goals, has joined Premier League side Arsenal. Lewandowski's closest pursuer is now Augsburg's Alfred Finnbogason on 11 goals.
Thiago making progress, knock for Wagner
On Wednesday FCB midfielder Thiago took another step towards his comeback. The Spaniard increased the workload and resumed parts of the squad programme before continuing his individual rehab programme in the performance centre. Sandro Wagner had to break off the session after turning his ankle during a rondo drill. The all-clear followed soon, an examination by club doctor Hans-Wilhelm Müller-Wohlfahrt revealed Wagner sustained no major injury.
