High pressure front Fritz will bring cold continental air to Germany over the coming week – and the first effects were noticeable on Thursday. The Bayern players bundled up appropriately as they prepared for the upcoming Bundesliga game against Hertha BSC (Saturday, 15:30) in a snow flurry this morning.

Missing from training were James Rodríguez, who picked up a slight calf injury from the 5-0 win in the first leg of the Champions League last 16 against Besiktas (report), and three other players. Jérôme Boateng, Mats Hummels and Joshua Kimmich worked individually in the performance centre. The final training session will be on Friday – probably in frosty conditions courtesy of Fritz
