Heynckes: We can live with the point

The crowd at the Allianz Arena did not see any goals for the first time since April 2012, but the Bavarians were not entirely dissatisfied with the result. "We can live with the point, I can't blame my team at all," Jupp Heynckes analysed after the goalless draw against Hertha Berlin. "We were very committed. We had gilt-edged chances we didn't use, especially in the first half," concluded the Bayern head coach.

Reaction to Bayern v Hertha

Jupp Heynckes: "My team had a good approach to the match today despite the goalless draw. We were very committed. We had gilt-edged chances we didn't use, especially in the first half. It's tough against opponents who're clever in defence. Hertha did a good job. We can live with the point, I can't blame my team at all. We missed many chances, which is unusual, but days like this happen."

David Alaba: "The match wasn't easy. Our opponents were awkward, they were very well-organised in defence and closed down the space. We created chances nonetheless, but you have to take them if you want to win. Unfortunately we didn't make the most of them today."

Pal Dardai (Hertha Berlin coach): "We put into practice what we had planned in defence. We allowed them space two or three times, it was highly dangerous then. We were very awkward today but failed to finish our counter-attacks resolutely. More wasn't possible. We have to be very, very satisfied."

Davie Selke (Hertha Berlin): "The coaching team provided us with a good strategy. We put it into practice very well, everybody did his job. It's outstanding to take a point away from Munich."
