Bayern v Sevilla in quarter-finals!
Bayern have been handed an attractive tie in the 2017/18 Champions League quarter-finals, as the five-time winners of Europe’s top club competition were paired with Spanish side Sevilla in the draw for the last eight. FCB will play the first leg in Andalusia with the return leg taking place a week later in Munich.
"I'm looking forward to the game. It won't be easy, Sevilla knocked out Manchester United," commented sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic following Friday's draw at UEFA headquarters in Nyon. "It's certainly not an easy draw. You don't get this far by chance," agreed David Alaba.
It'll be Bayern's first ever meeting with the Spanish side, who won the Europa League three times in a row between 2014 and 2016 and are in the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the first time.
The first legs will take place on 3/4 April, with the second legs played a week later on 10/11 April. That will be followed by the draw for the semi-finals on 13 April.
