On Saturday Bixente Lizarazu will be pulling on the Bayern shirt in the Legends match at Liverpool, but ahead of that the 48 year-old has been representing the club in Asia again. Following his visit to China and India for the FC Bayern Youth Cup in February, Bixente has just come back from Southeast Asia where he stopped in Singapore and Thailand.

At the invitation of the Deutsche Fußball Liga (DFL), Lizarazu took part in a sports exhibition and a gala evening in Singapore. In honour of the FC Bayern Legend Trophy Tour, he was accompanied by FCB mascot Berni as well as the Bundesliga trophy. Various media and fan events were also on the agenda.

Lizarazu's next stop was Bangkok. In the finals of the FC Bayern Youth Cup Thailand, the 1998 World Cup winners was searching for the ten best players in one of the ten national selection tournaments that has taken place over the last three months, involving a total of 3,500 young players. Lizarazu's busy programme also included a sightseeing tour in Bangkok, a fan event, a visit to the adidas Brand Center in Bangkok and a VIP football match with FC Bayern partners. The personal highlight of the Frenchman's stay in Thailand was a Muay Thai session with former world champion Jareonthong, as he was able to try out another form of martial arts, one of his big hobbies.

To finish with, it was back to Singapore where the former left-back had various media engagements and attended another of the FC Bayern Youth Cup national tournaments. The ten best players will represent Team Singapore in the FC Bayern Youth Cup world final on 13 May at the Allianz Arena.

Entry to the world final is free. Bayern and the talented players from around the world welcome any visitors to the Allianz Arena.
