FC Bayern’s international stars got back into training on Thursday afternoon following the international break, and there was quite a bit to discuss before taking to the pitch.

After around 30 minutes the players got down to business on the training ground, with 72-year-old head coach Jupp Heynckes remarking: “The atmosphere in the team is great following the international matches. They’re the best preparation for the crucial upcoming matches against Sevilla and Dortmund.”

Besides Manuel Neuer, who put in multiple laps on the practice ground, and long-term injury victim Kingsley Coman, the only player missing from the session was Juan Bernat, who was resting a swollen ankle. For training load management reasons, Robert Lewandowski and Thiago joined Arturo Vidal in the performance centre after the first few exercises.
