Alaba hopeful of Madrid return

“Time! Calm! Watch out!” Thomas Müller could be heard from a mile off during Bayern’s training session on Sunday. The captain was constantly encouraging and praising his teammates. There’s no doubt that the Reds are fired up for the big game at Real Madrid on Tuesday evening (20:45 CEST, live on Ticker and Webradio), with a place in the Champions League final at stake.

“The mood within the team is very, very good,” said David Alaba, who took full part in the session ahead of a potential comeback in Madrid. “You can see in training how focussed and concentrated we are. In the dressing room you can tell how much we want it. We’ll throw everything we have at it. Alaba himself is “on the right track for the game on Tuesday. I’ll obviously keep doing all I can to stay on track.”

There was also positive news on Javi Martínez, who completed the session in front of his young family in summery conditions in Munich. Müller, Robert Lewandowski, Franck Ribéry and James, who were rested against Eintracht Frankfurt, also took part while Arjen Robben trained individually.
