Bayern have the chance to take revenge for last year's quarter-final exit after being drawn to face Real Madrid in this season's Champions League last four. The Reds are full of respect for the holders, but Thomas Müller identified a good omen.
Reaction to the draw
Karl-Heinz Rummenigge: "It's a great draw that promises two thrilling matches, I'm looking forward to them. It's clear who're favourites, we're up against the Champions League winners of the two last years."
Uli Hoeneß: "If you want to win the Champions League you have to beat the best."
Hasan Salihamidzic: "They're top opponents, that's clear. Real have great qualities. They only have top-class players, but we too have a really good team. I trust our lads. Our coach knows Real best. We were eliminated by them last year, but we want to do better this time. We want to make it to the final. We have great respect but no fear. We'll do everything we can to make it to Kyiv."
Jupp Heynckes: "It's a cracker of course, a clash of giants in a positive sense. Two teams with great tradition in European and world football, both play attractive football and love the sport. It's a difficult draw for both sides. But we don't know whether it would have been easier against Roma or Liverpool. We have to take it as it is. I don't think the draw is particularly awkward."
Thiago: "Real Madrid again: incredible!"
Franck Ribéry: "It's a difficult draw but we'll try everything to take the chance of progressing to the final."
Thomas Müller: "Two thrilling matches definitely lie in wait. We eliminated Real Madrid in 2012. A good omen if you ask me."
Jérôme Boateng: "The most difficult draw we could get, even if there are no easy opponents in the Champions League semi-finals. But if you want to make it to the final you have to beat everyone, including the holders."
Arjen Robben: "A treat for the fans. A difficult draw, against the holders, but we can make it and take the road to Kyiv."
