Monday's training session was officially over, but some Bayern pros had too much fun to stop. Thomas Müller, Arjen Robben, Robert Lewandowski and five other FCB pros set up one another and fired at Tom Starke's goal. Needless to say, Radio Müller commented every move, strong or poor.
Jupp Heynckes watched his players and even joined them. The 72-year-old provided a few assists himself and scolded Niklas Süle with a grin when the latter only hit the post following a Heynckes pass. The atmosphere at the Säbener Strasse could not have been better at the start to the week. The Bavarians were in a great mood but highly focused during training. Only Manuel Neuer, Arturo Vidal and Kingsley Coman missed the session.
The Bavarians shone with accuracy in various drills, finding the net on countless occasions. "We have a big goal: make it to the final," Jupp Heynckes had declared at the weekend, and on Monday the German champions demonstrated they are primed for Real Madrid.
