Real Madrid warmed up for the Champions League semi-final return with a win in their domestic league fixture on Saturday. Three days prior to the second leg against FC Bayern in Madrid the Spanish record champions beat visiting CD Leganes and consolidated their grip on third spot in La Liga. The 59,905 crowd at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu saw goals from Gareth Bale (8) and Borja Moyoral (45) for Real, with Darko Brasanac (66) pulling one back for the 15th-placed visitors.
With an eye on Tuesday's European showdown, Real boss Zinedine Zidane elected to rest a clutch of star players. The only survivor from the starting XI at the Allianz Arena last Wednesday was Casemiro. World Player of the Year Cristiano Ronaldo was excused squad duty.
Real Madrid line-up versus CD Leganes:
