FC Bayern will have to manage without Arturo Vidal. The Chilean picked up a knee injury in Sunday’s training session. “He slipped and went down,” reported Jupp Heynckes on Monday at the pre-match press conference ahead of the DFB Cup semi-final at Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday night (kick-off 20:45 CET).
“I’ve just spoken to Dr. Müller-Wohlfahrt on the phone. He’s had an MRI scan. Arturo has a loose body in his knee. That’s preventing him stretching. He’s already on his way to Augsburg (to Dr. Ulrich Boenisch, Ed.). He needs keyhole surgery on his knee. Arturo will definitely be out of action for a while.”
