Two days after the unlucky Champions League exit in Madrid the Bayern stars returned to the Säbener Straße training ground. The mood was a little subdued at first. but the longer the session went on, the more the fun factor returned. And the small group for the workout was led by the club captain in person. Manuel Neuer once again played his part and was at the head of the pack for the warm-up laps of the facility. The 32-year-old then completed a full session of goalkeeping training and took part in one of the squad drills.

In the wake of the energy-sapping clash with Real Madrid, the focus was on workload management and regeneration, so the bulk of Tuesday's starting XI trained individually in the performance center. Only Thomas Müller, Joshua Kimmich and Sven Ulreich began the day outdoors. There was good news from elsewhere on the facility as Arjen Robben, Juan Bernat and Kingsley Coman all continued working towards comebacks.
