
Working for the title defence: Germany head coach Joachim Löw had almost all of his Bayern pros at his disposal on Saturday morning. Apart from Jérôme Boateng, who continued his individual programme after sustaining a thigh injury, all Bavarians completed the squad programme. Mats Hummels, Niklas Süle, Joshua Kimmich and Thomas Müller had arrived in South Tyrol later than their team-mates because of the cup final last week and only turned in a running session on Friday evening.
Ceremonial farewell for James and Colombia
The Colombian national team with Bayern pro James enjoyed a ceremonial farewell including fireworks before the World Cup in Russia. Colombia contested a practice match in front of 35,000 spectators in Bogotá on Friday evening. Miguel Ángel Borja and Luis Fernando Muriel traded goals in the 1-1 draw between the teams consisting of players of the 35-strong preliminary squad. After the match the players set off for Italy, where they will contest a friendly against Egypt on 1 June. Colombia contest their first World Cup match against Japan on 19 June before taking on Poland and Senegal in Group H.
